Police Continue Search for Missing Slovak National in Bovec Area
The police are continuing their extensive search for 43-year-old Miroslav Hutar, a national from Slovakia, who remains missing in the Bovec area. Operations are primarily focused on the region surrounding Log pod Mangartom. As of this morning, the Air Police Unit deployed a helicopter to assist in the search efforts.
Ground teams have been systematically examining a wide area, including numerous roads between Bovec and Predel Pass, sections of the main road, and the vicinity of the Mangart saddle. The helicopter’s involvement has expanded the scope of the search to include challenging terrain. Investigators have inspected river valleys such as Koritnica and Soča, as well as steep, difficult-to-access slopes.
The search has also encompassed areas from the settlement of Zag to Bovec, and extended to the Gorice Brda region. The police are utilizing all available resources to locate Mr. Hutar and are continuing to assess the most promising areas for further investigation.
