Nine-Year-Old Bear Payne Named Beneficiary of Liam Payne’s Estate
Court documents, obtained by American TMZ, have confirmed that Bear Payne, aged nine, has been designated the sole beneficiary of the estate left by Liam Payne. Payne died on October 16, 2024, at a hotel in Argentina. The estate includes an inheritance of $29 million (approximately €25 million).
Born into the Payne family – Liam Payne and singer Cheryl Cole, who welcomed Bear in March 2017 – the young boy is set to inherit the substantial sum. Currently, a portion of the funds are accessible, while the majority will be held within a trust fund until Bear reaches the age of 18. This arrangement ensures the long-term security of the inheritance.
Liam Payne himself had previously discussed his desire to become a father in an interview with People magazine in 2018. He stated, “But I didn’t really expect to ever get here. When I’m at home, I’m a father.
Then, when I’m working, I see all these crazy things.”
Throughout his life, the late singer carefully guarded Bear’s privacy, reflecting a desire to protect his son from public attention. The estate’s structure reflects the Payne family’s wishes for Bear’s future.
