Speeding Incidents Reported on Croatian Motorways
Authorities in the Primorsko-goranska police region have reported several instances of excessive speed on Croatian motorways, primarily impacting Slovenian drivers. According to a report by Net.hr, a 34-year-old Slovenian was recorded traveling at 205 km/h on the A7 motorway on Friday. The driver was exceeding the 100 km/h speed limit by 105 km/h at the time of detection around 18:58.
As a result, the driver received a fine of 660 euros and a three-month driving ban within Croatia. Further incidents were reported in the Zadar area. A separate Slovenian driver, aged 38, was apprehended on the A1 motorway between Benkovac and Pirovac.
This driver reached a speed of 229 km/h in a zone with a 100 km/h speed limit, and 130 km/h in a zone with a 130 km/h speed limit. These events highlight ongoing concerns regarding speed violations and underscore the importance of adhering to posted speed limits on Croatian roadways. The Slovenian drivers were subject to standard fines and driving restrictions following the reported speed.
