Marquez Withdraws from Czech Grand Prix Following Recovery Protocol
Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) will not compete in the Monster Energy Grand Prix of Czechia, the Czech Grand Prix, due to ongoing recovery efforts following a fall at the Valencian Community Grand Prix. Following consultation with his team and the MotoGP medical service, Marquez has opted to prioritize his rehabilitation. Despite receiving clearance for a Friday appearance at the Brno circuit, Marquez ultimately decided against participating in the full weekend schedule.
He secured 14th place during Saturday morning’s qualifying session. However, team officials have determined that he requires focused rehabilitation to ensure full fitness and readiness for future races. This decision allows Marquez to dedicate his time entirely to recovery, aiming for a swift return to competition.
The rider, carrying the number 73, was granted permission to participate on Friday, but ultimately chose to withdraw from the grand prix to maximize his chances of a successful and timely return. The team will continue to monitor his progress closely.
