The fire that broke out in a commercial and residential building on Ormoška cesta in Ptuj was reported to the firefighters shortly after 12:00, said Ptuj Fire Brigade commander Tadej Korošak. As he said shortly before 3:00, the fire is contained and under control, and the firefighters are extinguishing individual fires. Korošak said that the fire started in the attic of an older building with three apartments on the ground floor, and the reader informed us that the residential building was recently renovated.
According to the commander of Ptuj Fire Brigade, there were no casualties, and 10 of the 3 injured residents were temporarily housed. The Ptujinfo portal already reported earlier that all people had escaped from the burning building in time, and all firefighting units of the Municipality of Ptuj had been activated.
