Croatian police has released more details about the drowning in the old Drava riverbed near Gornji Hrašćan. According to net.hr, according to unofficial information, a 14-year-old boy drowned while swimming in the river. He was swimming with friends and disappeared underwater at some point.

The police explained that the minor drowned in the Drava river and floated to the center of the river. “At some point, the main current of the river pulled him underwater, and he could not swim back to the surface,” the Police Department (PU) Međimurje said in a statement.
They searched for him for two hours.
