Ljubljana, dressed in a rainbow: “Democracy in our hands – hope is our resistance”

The event starts at 6 pm at AKC Metelkova mesto or Masarykova cesta. The parade will then continue on Slovenska cesta and end at the Congress Square. The cultural-political program, which will start at 8 pm at the Congress Square, will combine “political and activist speeches, artistic performances, music, drag, queer culture and community celebrations,” the organizers of the festival, the Parada ponosa, wrote.

The Parada ponosa in Ljubljana will feature among others the Ljubljana musical collective SBO, the Kvirkago revue musical ensemble and Serbian rapper Sajsi MC. The festival’s closing event, Paradni dan, will start in the Zvezda park at the Paradno mesto, where between 10 am and 4 pm stands will be set up to showcase LGBTIQ+ and allied groups.
