He spoke his experience so openly, Luka, who decided to build a prefabricated house in 2020. Although the project initially developed promisingly, it later turned into a long and stressful story. Luka explains that the decision to build a prefabricated house was quite deliberate.
“The main reason was the speed of construction and the warmer feeling in winter due to wooden construction,” he says at the beginning of the conversation. He is particularly convinced by the composition of the walls and insulation. “The wall itself has five centimeters of insulation on the inside, fifteen centimeters in the wall, and an additional fifteen centimeters on the facade,” he explains.
Instead of a typical house, they decided on their own project. “We had our own designer who led the project from the design concept to the building permit. With typical houses, the problem was that they did not take into account the local climate,” he says.
