In a large search operation that began on Monday evening, members of the mountain rescue service, firefighters, carabinieri, financial police and drone operators participated.
Two helicopters also helped. After several hours of searching, the body of the Slovenian hiker was found near Ponte Outo in a difficult area in the canyon under the mountain path. Authorities have launched an investigation into the death, the circumstances of which are not yet known.
