Assistant chief of the Criminal Police Department, Boštjan Debelak, stated that the police became aware of the situation on Saturday, approximately half an hour after 6 p.m. Responding rescue teams were dispatched to the location to assist the injured individual.
Tragically, despite their efforts, the injured person succumbed to their wounds. Debelak clarified that the deceased was a mother and her son, residing at the same address. Following the event, the police apprehended the son, and he offered no resistance.
He is currently 62 years old and will be presented to the investigating judge for a murder examination later today. The potential penalty for this crime is a maximum prison sentence of 15 years. While the individual has not previously faced charges related to violence, he was convicted in 2014 for arson and received a criminal fine.
