Maribor – Authorities are investigating a reported threat at a primary school in Maribor following concerning messages sent by a seventh-grade student. According to reports from Maribor24, the student communicated intentions of potential harm via social networks, stating “I’ll see what will happen” on Monday. Furthermore, the student shared images depicting a firearm, intended to demonstrate the seriousness of their statements.

The school’s head immediately notified parents via letter and formally reported the incident to the Maribor police. Police have confirmed receipt of the report and are treating the matter with urgency. “We have received a report of a suspicion of threats in connection with one of the educational institutions within the Maribor city police area,” a police spokesperson stated.

“However, based on the information gathered to date, there is currently no direct threat to individuals.”

Due to the ongoing investigation, further details cannot be disclosed. The police emphasized their commitment to responding to any potential threats. The case is being handled in accordance with Article 287 of the Criminal Code.
