Israel Launches Targeted Operations in Lebanon Following Ceasefire Violations

Following repeated violations of the ceasefire by Hezbollah and attacks on Israeli cities and citizens, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Minister of Defense of Israel Kac have ordered military action targeting terrorist infrastructure within the Dahieh district of Beirut, Lebanon. This action is outlined in a joint statement released by the leaders. In addition to the targeted operations, Israel has issued an order compelling the immediate displacement of residents from seven villages located in southern Lebanon.

According to an announcement by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), spokesman Aviyah Adrai stated that residents must withdraw at least 1,000 meters from the designated area. This measure is being implemented in preparation for planned military operations. The IDF spokesperson communicated the order via X, emphasizing the need for immediate evacuation due to anticipated attacks.

The move represents a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. The situation remains fluid as Israel continues its operational response and seeks to address what it perceives as ongoing security threats.
