Slovenian text: As the commission stated, they decided to impose a fine because Temu did not complete the risk assessment for the sale of illegal products in accordance with the standards of the European Digital Services Act (DSA). Among other things, the assessment was based on general information about the risks associated with the online store, instead of the specific characteristics of Temu’s service. In addition, they underestimated how often consumers could encounter illegal products on the platform.

A large proportion of the tested children’s toys presented a medium to high risk. Among other things, chemicals in toys exceeded the permitted limits.
