Milan Zupančič was the first president of the Slovenian Handball Federation after the independence of Slovenia (1992–1996), a long-time chairman of the supervisory board of the Handball Federation of Slovenia (1996–2006), and a member of the supervisory board of the RK Celje Pivovarna Laško until 2018.
