The United States has banned foreigners from visiting DR Congo, Uganda or South Sudan in the past 21 days due to the deadly Ebola outbreak. The DR Congo national team has already trained in Europe, so it may not have been possible for the team to contract the disease in the DR Congo in the past 21 days.
If they were actually in DR Congo in the past 21 days, they would have been subject to strict screening, as are the requirements for American citizens returning from countries where the disease has been detected.
