After the DEMOS and NSi, which did so last week, the content of the coalition agreement for the 2026-2030 mandate period was applauded by the SLS, the Focus of Marko Lotrič and, of course, the SDS, which will also lead the government. This means that the conditions for filing a mandate candidate have been met, announced the most likely mandate candidate, Janez Janša. He needs 46 votes, the parties signing the coalition agreement have only 43.
But Janša can also hope for support from the Resnica party, even though it will not formally be part of the coalition. As Zoran Stevanović, its president, said on Saturday, they will also contribute to Janša’s candidacy.
