Cannabis Seizure in Ljubljana Leads to Arrests
Ljubljana – Police conducted a swift operation resulting in the seizure of over 900 cannabis seedlings, along with cut plant tips confirmed to be a prohibited drug, alongside equipment used for cultivation. The seizure occurred following a targeted investigation. Additionally, tools and items related to cannabis cultivation were seized from the location.
As a result of the operation, three individuals were arrested. A 32-year-old and 48-year-old citizen of Serbia, and a 41-year-old citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, were detained on suspicion of criminal acts related to the unlawful production and trafficking of cannabis, as well as theft of electricity. A preliminary investigation led the investigating judge to order the detention of all three suspects.
Law enforcement officials are continuing to gather information and will subsequently present their findings to the competent state prosecutor. The investigation is ongoing. The operation took place in Ljubljana, and highlighted the ongoing efforts to combat illicit drug activity within the region.
