Man Dies Following Felling Incident in Nova Gorica Area
A 29-year-old man died following an incident while working as a contract laborer in the Nova Gorica area. According to police reports, the man was working alongside two other workers performing felling operations in the same location. The incident occurred when a portion of the trunk from a previously deceased tree became entangled within the crown of a tree currently being felled by the 29-year-old man.
Immediately following the entrapment, emergency responders, including police officers from the Municipality of Nova Gorica and rescue teams, initiated resuscitation efforts. Despite these efforts, the man succumbed to severe physical injuries at the scene. A medical examiner confirmed the man’s death at the location and ordered a sanitary autopsy to determine the precise cause of death.
The incident was also reported to the investigating judge of the District Court in Nova Gorica and the district judge. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the event.
