Experienced Player Confident in Young Team’s Progress
Robert Sabolič, a seasoned member of Ljubljana’s Olimpija, has voiced strong satisfaction with the rapid adaptation of the team’s younger players. He has repeatedly noted the successful transition they’ve made to the competitive environment of the elite division. “This year, their experience is significantly greater than last year,” Sabolič stated.
“Previously, the team faced considerable pressure during their inaugural appearance among top-tier national teams. Now, they are benefiting from that experience and are expected to respond more effectively to challenging situations.”
The 37-year-old, currently enjoying a successful club season, emphasized that the team’s work is not yet complete. Recognizing the demands of competing in the world’s highest level of national hockey, Sabolič remains wholly focused on the upcoming World Championship.
“Regardless of the fact that we are already in May, our thoughts are completely focused on the World Championship, where we want to achieve a good result,” he added with confidence. The team’s preparation continues as they aim for a strong performance on the international stage.
