American Passengers Express Gratitude Following Quarantine Period
Following a period of quarantine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, one of fifteen American passengers aboard the MV Hondius expressed thanks for the support received. Jake Rosmarin, who was among those not diagnosed with hantavirus after disembarking from the ship, utilized his Instagram profile – which boasts over 112,500 followers – to convey his appreciation. Rosmarin extended his gratitude to the University Medical Center in Nebraska and the city of Omaha for their role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals during their quarantine.
He shared a video tour of the accommodations where they were housed, detailing the facilities available to them. The video showcased a hotel room equipped with a wardrobe, a spacious bathroom featuring a sink and shower, and a hallway leading to the room. Within the room, passengers had access to a bed, armchair, smart television, refrigerator, table, and a room wheelchair.
The quarantine period concluded with the consent of the passengers, allowing for the inclusion of social media and third-party content. This initiative highlighted the collaborative efforts between the university and the individuals involved.
