The price of gasoline is 11.5 cents higher, diesel is almost 17 cents per liter

The government has taken action to reduce the cost of fuels and electricity, setting excise taxes to their absolute minimum. Following a recent government meeting, the Ministry of the Environment announced this significant shift. Without immediate intervention, the price of diesel was projected to rise approximately 20 cents per liter, and the price of heating oil would have increased by around 22 cents per liter.

A key element of this new policy is a revised timetable for adjusting fuel prices. Moving forward, prices will be modified weekly, reflecting changes in global market values. This approach enables a quicker reaction to fluctuations and ensures consumers receive more current pricing information.

The initial calculations utilizing this new regulation will be based on data collected between March 23rd and March 27th, 2026. This system is designed to provide a responsive and accurate reflection of the current market price. A gasoline pump, devoid of fuel, represents the core of this adjustment.
