Nearly 20 thousand young people traditionally celebrated the Student’s Day

Student Celebration Draws Thousands to Ljubljana

Ljubljana’s Kardelj square hosted the annual Traditional Student’s Day market yesterday, coinciding with the approaching exam period and attracting nearly 20,000 attendees. The event featured a day of social interaction alongside culinary offerings provided by student clubs. The festivities continued into the evening with live performances from popular Slovenian bands, including Tabu, Kokosy, Mi2, and Vlada Kreslin.

Attendees enjoyed music and socializing throughout the day. Musician Vlado Kreslin commented on the event, stating, “As a student, I feel great. Maybe a little too much once in a while, but it’s a great event.” He attributed the high energy of the crowd, comprised largely of young students, to a positive influence.

“I think the second youth, so much youthful energy in a big group, certainly creates some surplus value. Of course, it indirectly affects us, a little bit too,” Kreslin added. The event concluded with a day of celebration and marked a significant gathering for students in Ljubljana.
