The turtle died “emotionally after a big failure”, but he has not said his last

Slovenian Grappler Bojan Kosednar Reflects on Recent Competition

Bojan Kosednar, a Slovenian grappler, returned to the FNC 29 event in Ljubljana following a year-long absence, competing alongside friend Dušan Džakić. Džakić secured a victory in the initial round with a Kimura submission. Kosednar experienced a significant defeat in the subsequent match, describing it as a “very big sports failure.” He admitted to struggling with the outcome, stating he “still thinks about it a lot and that’s why I sleep badly.” The fight concluded prematurely, and Kosednar attributed the loss to his opponent’s vulnerability in defending a Kimura submission.

Despite the setback, Kosednar expressed determination to return to Ljubljana and compete for the championship torch at the FNC. “It’s not the end,” he affirmed. Meanwhile, Jakob Nedoh achieved a historic victory at the main evening event, becoming the first Slovenian competitor to win the championship belt.

This accomplishment marks a notable moment for Slovenian grappling.
