Multiple Vehicle Collision Causes Traffic Disruption on Slovenian Motorway
A traffic incident occurred on the Maribor – Celje route of the Styrian motorway at approximately 13:44 on Tuesday. The collision involved several personal vehicles near the Slovenske Konjice exit. Firefighters from the Slovenian Konjice and Slovenska Bistrica Volunteer Fire Brigades responded to the scene and took steps to secure the area.
Their efforts included rescuing individuals trapped within the vehicles, disconnecting vehicle batteries, and undertaking necessary repairs to the motorway surface. Support was also provided to other emergency services present. Five individuals sustained injuries as a result of the accident.
Emergency medical personnel from Slovenj Konjice and Slovenska Bistrica treated the injured at the scene and subsequently transported them to the Celje hospital for further care. Traffic flow on the affected section of the motorway was significantly impacted, leading to a traffic jam. The Slovenian Traffic Information Centre issued a report, which facilitated the clearance of the obstruction.
