About the starting points of the coalition agreement: ‘It’s a kind of sheep’s clothing’

Levica Leaders Express Concerns Over Coalition Agreement Starting Points

During a discussion on the Tonight show, 24UR, Levica coordinator Luka Mesec and SD president Matjaž Han voiced significant reservations regarding the initial proposals for the upcoming coalition agreement. Presenting the coalition’s outlined starting points, Mesec expressed skepticism about the priorities presented. The document, as initially drafted, focuses on key areas including Slovenia’s development and prosperity, the fight against corruption and organized crime, and bureaucratic reform.

However, Mesec argued that the written text does not accurately reflect the underlying intentions of the emerging coalition. “The fundamental priorities of the coalition are the development and prosperity of Slovenia, the fight against corruption and organized crime, and de-burocratization,” Mesec stated. “Yes, they read well, but they are a kind of disguise for the emerging coalition.”

The leaders emphasized the need for a thorough assessment of the coalition’s true intentions.

They believe a critical evaluation is necessary to determine the genuine commitments being made. The discussion centered on the initial points outlined in the agreement and highlighted the importance of scrutinizing the coalition’s approach. An extraordinary session of the DZ was held, with photographic documentation available.
