Traffic Disruptions Continue Following Major Slovenian Accident
Significant traffic disruptions persist on regional roads leading to Ljubljana following a serious traffic accident yesterday. Motorway traffic is currently diverted via Razdrto to Postojna, and motorists are advised to exit the motorway at Senožeče for access to Ljubljana. The Traffic Information Center for State Roads reports that the Postojna exit to Ljubljana remains open.
Yesterday’s incident, involving a collision of three vehicles on the Slovenian state highway, caused extensive delays. The highway was closed for several hours in the direction of Ljubljana between Razdrt and Studenec. Eight individuals sustained injuries during the accident, with three individuals receiving serious treatment.
One person was transported to Ljubljana by helicopter. A dog was also found inside one of the vehicles involved. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The primary cause of the traffic congestion remains the ongoing impact of the initial accident. Motorists are advised to check for updates and consider alternative routes. —
