Slovenian Military Conducts Electronic Warfare Training Exercise

The Slovenian military is conducting a training exercise focused on enhancing capabilities against electronic jamming of critical systems. The primary objective is to develop proficiency in responding to and combating electronic interference in radar, communication, and command and control systems within realistic operational scenarios. Key activities will center on appropriate tactical responses and combat actions related to electronic jamming.

The exercise will involve units and command posts integrated within the NATO’s integrated airspace control and monitoring system. This system, overseen by the combined headquarters also located in Spain, includes the 16th airspace control and monitoring center of Slovenia and the 15th military brigade. During the exercise, military vehicles will periodically move along roads towards Postojna between 7:00 a.m.

and 10:00 a.m. These military vehicles will originate from Brnik, Cerklje ob Krki, and Novo mesto. Authorities have issued a warning to the public regarding increased traffic and advised motorists to exercise caution in the area.

The exercise aims to refine operational procedures within a complex, multi-layered defense environment.
