Traffic Collision Causes Significant Delays on Primorska Highway

A traffic accident occurred on the Primorska highway between Razdrt and Postojna at approximately 17:43 on May 3, 2026. Three vehicles with Slovenian registration plates were involved in a chain collision. Emergency services responded to the scene, and initial reports indicate eight individuals sustained injuries.

Of those injured, three are being treated as seriously ill. One person was transported to the Ljubljana Clinical Center via helicopter. The Police Office of Koper confirmed the incident to 24ur.com.

The collision has resulted in substantial traffic disruptions across the Primorska highway corridor. Significant delays are forming between Logatec and Ljubljana, as well as on the routes connecting Senožeče – Postojna to Logatec – Vrhnika towards Ljubljana. Authorities have implemented a detour for private vehicles, directing traffic via Senožeče and Razdrt to Postojna.

Congestion is also reported on the Senožeče – Postojna to Logatec – Vrhnika route. The Reševalni pas Association reiterated concerns regarding reckless driving behavior among some traffic participants following the incident. Investigations into the cause of the collision are ongoing.
