Multiple Wounded in Athens Shooting; Suspect at Large
Greek authorities are investigating a shooting incident in the center of Athens, resulting in multiple injuries. According to initial reports, the shooter targeted two locations, causing harm to several individuals. Police are currently searching for a suspect believed to be 89 years old, as reported by local Greek media.
The initial incident involved an attack on a worker at the Social Security Office. The worker sustained shrapnel wounds to his legs and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Medical sources indicate his condition is not immediately life-threatening.
The suspect then proceeded to the fourth floor of the Social Security Office in the Kerameikos district. According to Alexandros Varveris, the head of the Social Security Fund, the suspect instructed the injured worker to leave the premises before continuing his actions. Authorities are continuing their investigation and are actively pursuing leads in the search for the suspect.
