The Iranians are said to have hit the American F-35, which had to make an emergency landing

Tim Hawkins, spokornica of the U.S. Central Command, stated that a fifth-generation aircraft, lacking radar-sight capabilities, took part in a combat mission over Iran before making an emergency landing. Hawkins confirmed the aircraft landed safely, and the incident is currently under investigation.

“The pilot is in a stable condition,” he added. This marks the first time an Iranian aircraft has engaged an American aircraft during the conflict, which commenced at the end of February. The F-35 aircraft, costing over $100 million, was involved in the operation.

The situation unfolds amidst claims from Donald Trump and other members of the U.S. administration that Iranian air defenses have been neutralized and American aircraft are operating securely within the hostile territory. Hawkins’ comments followed this assertion.

Defense Minister Pete Hegseth also addressed the matter, further emphasizing the ongoing investigation surrounding the aircraft’s forced landing. The investigation aims to determine the precise circumstances of the event and assess any potential implications. Hawkins said that the incident is being thoroughly examined to ensure such occurrences are prevented in the future.
