Special attention to health care workers, better salaries for teachers

The “Svet” program on Channel A continues its series of in-depth interviews with candidates vying in the upcoming Sunday parliamentary elections. This week’s broadcast featured a one-on-one session with Meiro Hot, the Vice President of the Social Democrats and the current head of the SD parliamentary group. The SD’s platform centers around key promises: reduced taxes for workers, universal access to healthcare for everyone, and guaranteed safe retirement plans for all citizens.

However, as is typical during pre-election debates, a familiar question arises among voters – how much of this has been previously stated, and what tangible evidence supports these claims? During the interview, the focus shifted to recent allegations of foreign interference in the election process. The program questioned the implications of potentially authentic footage, specifically asking: with whom are they collaborating if the evidence proves genuine?

Notably, a former member of the SD, including a previous minister, leveled accusations against Prime Minister Robert Golob, suggesting he exerted undue influence over the operations of state-owned companies depicted in the footage. This raised concerns about the integrity of the parliamentary process and the potential for external manipulation.
