Multiple Fatalities Reported in Shreveport Shooting
Shreveport Police responded to a domestic violence incident shortly after 6:00 a.m. local time following reports of a shooting. According to police spokesperson Christopher Bordelon, the scene was widespread, involving three separate locations.
The initial shooting occurred off a roadway, followed by another incident on Harrison Street, prompting one victim to seek refuge in a neighboring residence. Ten individuals were shot, resulting in eight fatalities. The victims’ ages ranged from one to fourteen years old.
Following the initial exchange of gunfire, the suspect fled the scene in a stolen vehicle. Police initiated a pursuit and ultimately engaged the suspect, resulting in his death. “We have three different locations.
The shooting took place just off the road. There was another shooting on Harrison Street, one of the victims ran into a neighboring house after the shooting,” Bordelon stated. The Shreveport Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
