Should he fulfill these obligations, matej erjavec will attain the longest tenure in Slovenian basketball history.
Following his election, erjavec expressed gratitude to the Slovenian Basketball Association for their continued trust. He acknowledged the unanimous confirmation of the new mandate as a validation of prior efforts, simultaneously recognizing a substantial responsibility for the future. “I understand the new mandate period as an opportunity to continue the projects we have set and to upgrade them,” he stated.
The focus, according to erjavec, will be on fostering an environment where players and coaches can thrive. He emphasized the importance of creating conditions that support growth within the sport. “Our task is to create conditions in which players and coaches can continue to grow, and basketball will remain one of the most popular sports in Slovenia,” he added.
