The current trend of elevated temperatures is nearing its conclusion. The Alps have already experienced the advance of a cold air mass originating from the northwest, which is anticipated to affect our region this evening. Initially, the day will be characterized by sunshine and warmth, though cloud cover will gradually increase during the afternoon.
As evening approaches, rainfall will begin to spread across the nation, originating from the north and moving southward, according to the Environmental Agency (Arso). The snow line is projected to descend to approximately 800 meters, with potentially heavier precipitation observed on the southern slopes. A northerly wind will prevail, and the island of Primorje will experience a light to moderate breeze.
The forecast indicates that precipitation totals for the 24-hour period will be significant. By morning, the rain will have ceased, and skies will be overcast. Low-lying areas within the country’s interior may develop localized fog.
Throughout the following day, conditions will be variable and cloudy, with brief, localized weather shifts.
