Despite official warnings urging displaced families to remain away from their homes until the stability of a ceasefire is confirmed, movement began towards southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut. The ten-day truce was announced on Thursday by U.S. President Donald Trump following weeks of diplomatic negotiations between Israeli and Lebanese representatives in Washington, D.C.
