The steam engine with a concert lasting more than two hours marked the 50th anniversary

The Stožice audience was thoroughly impressed by the extensive catalogue of hits performed by the Parni valjak band. Notably, the now expertly synchronized vocalist, Igor Drvenkar, delivered a compelling performance, having taken on the role previously held by the late Akija Rahimovski two years prior. The concert drew a large crowd, prompting the question of why so many people attended.

Visitors expressed a strong sense of nostalgia, particularly amongst the older generation. Conversely, the younger attendees highlighted the fresh energy brought by the current singer. “I guess this nostalgia is more in the older generation, while the young ones have a new energy,” one attendee remarked.

“The late singer was something more, and this new one is also great; I have nothing to say about it.”

Another visitor commented on the band’s remarkable energy, stating, “They have an amazing energy, that lifts you up.” Many fans reported listening to Parni valjak before sporting events, even using their music to train for football. “They have charm, which maybe the younger ones don’t have,” they added.
