Solinair, a Slovenian aviation company, is marking its 35th anniversary of operation this year. Established at Portorož airport in 1989 and relocating to Brnik in 2004, Solinair provides a comprehensive range of aviation services. The company’s operations encompass air cargo transportation, aircraft maintenance, continuous sea keeping, and technical staff training, all conducted under one roof.
According to company director Matej Tomšič, a significant development was the acquisition of a new hangar. Recognizing increasing demand for base aircraft maintenance services, Solinair expanded its facilities several years ago. Previously, the company could accommodate maintenance work on three to four aircraft simultaneously within its existing hangars.
The newly constructed hangar, recognized as the largest in Slovenia, significantly increases capacity. It will now allow for the maintenance of an additional three aircraft concurrently, broadening the scope of Solinair’s activities.
