Food delivery has become increasingly popular in Slovenia, with consumers ordering a range of options including burgers, pizza, and Asian cuisine. A growing interest in healthier meals is also being observed. According to Clemens Brugger, General Director of Wolt Slovenia, these trends are reflected in app usage.
Over the past decade, food delivery has transitioned into a commonplace activity, offering consumers a convenient time-saving solution. Brugger notes that societal shifts, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, have significantly influenced consumer behavior. “We as a society have become increasingly digitalized,” he stated.
“The pandemic was undoubtedly a major factor, and likely the biggest reason for this change. We’ve developed a different relationship with time, and saving time has become incredibly important for everyone.”
Furthermore, Brugger emphasized the role of digital logistics in the service’s operation. “Our service would not be possible without technology and digital logistics, which is a crucial factor.”
