Police are investigating an incident that occurred at Prešeren Square in Ljubljana yesterday at approximately 2:00 PM. A male present at the scene received medical attention but sustained no injuries. The Ljubljana Police Directorate (PU) reports that officers are actively gathering information regarding suspected criminal acts, specifically threatening behavior.
All collected data will be submitted to the competent state prosecutor for review. During the police intervention, a 45-year-old Slovenian citizen, who was passing through the area at the time, began to verbally confront and physically resist officers. She shouted at the police and initiated pushing and kicking actions.
Authorities instructed the woman to cease her unlawful behavior, but she failed to comply. Due to her continued disobedience and active resistance, police utilized force against her. Preliminary reports indicate that one police officer sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
The investigation is ongoing as the police continue to collect evidence and assess the situation.
