Illegal gambling on the Fotopub website. Who is the owner?

New online gambling offerings have surfaced in Slovenia, with the fotopub.com website reportedly featuring 11 different gambling providers. These platforms advertise incentives such as high bonuses, free spins, cryptocurrency gaming options, and refund schemes. The focus of recent discussion centers on Dušan Smodej, who is currently listed as the general director associated with the website.

Smodej is presently facing legal charges related to sexual assault, physical injury, and enabling the use of prohibited drugs. Adding to the controversy, the website has reportedly begun listing illegal online gambling sites. In response to the association, Smodej has issued a denial regarding any connection to these operations.

He stated that he has not rented the fotopub.com domains for a period exceeding four years. Furthermore, he specified that his last known domain lease extension occurred in March 2022 through T-media. Smodej also clarified the ownership structure, noting that the brand Fotopub belongs to LokalPatriota, and that he informed them of this status last November.

The continued presence of these diverse and sometimes questionable gambling services on the platform, coupled with Smodej’s legal troubles, has drawn scrutiny to the governance of the online gambling industry and the operational transparency of the associated website.
