Andrea Barnjak, a handball player from the Hypa in the OTP Group Mercator Krim, has signed a long-term contract with the Ljubljana club. The 179 cm tall player previously competed alongside Philomena Egger for all Austrian national teams, including the under-17 selection which secured the title of European champions. Barnjak has gained significant experience in senior-level competition, having participated in the last World Championship and the EHF European League.
Her inclusion in the Austrian national teams, alongside Egger, highlighted her promising talent and early success within the sport. “I am very happy that I can join the new season,” Barnjak stated according to reports. The signing of Barnjak reflects the Ljubljana club’s strategic focus on developing young, promising players.
