However, during the recent domestic tournament, the team encountered exceptionally strong opposition. According to statements made by Ivan Dizdar, the squad faced defeat by Romania’s Farul Constanța in the semi-finals, and subsequently by Croatia’s Hajduk in the small final.
Dizdar noted that the team did not reach the objectives they had set for themselves, specifically failing to advance to the next qualification round. She attributed the outcome to several challenges faced during the preparation period, citing numerous injured players, the process of rebuilding the roster, and changes in coaching staff. These accumulated factors may have influenced the final result achieved at the domastic level.
Looking ahead, the team is also focused on the national championship, which is scheduled for the following week. While acknowledging the need for rest, Dizdar emphasized that the focus must shift toward securing the double crown.
