Storm in the mountains, slipping, rock crumbling: helicopter also intervened

Two separate incidents involving foreign mountaineers occurred yesterday, prompting responses from local emergency services across the region’s mountainous areas. The first reported accident took place around 8:00 PM during a descent from Mali Triglav toward Planika House. Authorities reported that the 20-year-old foreign mountaineer sustained injuries after a rock detached from the protected mountain path.

Emergency medical teams from Brnik responded to the scene, providing immediate assistance. Following assessment, the injured individual was transported to a medical facility via helicopter. Police personnel are scheduled to document the full details of this mountain incident.

Later the same day, at approximately 11:30 AM, a second accident was reported in the Viševnik area. This incident involved a different 26-year-old foreign mountaineer who sustained physical injuries while walking in the area. Again, the emergency team from Brnik provided necessary support.

This individual was also airlifted by helicopter to receive medical treatment at a local facility. In both cases, emergency responders ensured the prompt evacuation and care of the injured parties. Authorities confirmed that the police department will formally document both incidents to record the details surrounding the accidents on the mountain.

The timely intervention of the emergency teams and the use of the helicopter were critical in managing both situations.
