Žan Vipotnik is currently a standout performer for Slovenian club NK Maribor, alongside teammates Benjamin Šeško, Jaka Bijol, Nik Prelec, and Tomi Horvat. Vipotnik’s strong form has translated to the national team, where he recently scored two goals in Slovenia’s 3-2 victory against the host nation. The talented midfielder’s contributions have been significant, mirroring his success at the club level.
He added another two goals to Slovenia’s tally during a match against the host team in Podgorica. Vipotnik’s career path includes a move to Welsh club Swansea City for the 2024/25 season. Prior to joining Swansea, he spent a season with French club Bordeaux, where he recorded seven goals in 44 appearances during his debut season.
As of the 40th round of the current season, Vipotnik has already amassed 18 goals, including two goals in the national cup competition.
