According to the initiators, this legislation restricts the ability to challenge the act of ordering an investigation before the Constitutional Court. Specifically, the law reportedly removes the prior option for individuals who are the subject of an investigation to seek such a challenge.
The proponents of the referendum argue that this legislative change eliminates what they view as a crucial safeguard designed to prevent potential political interference in the investigative process.
