A Swiss family vacation near Kobarid was disrupted when a large rock fell into the Soča River. The incident occurred while the family, which included a father aged 36 and a mother aged 35, and their two children, were enjoying the area near Pristna Narava. The large rock detached from the river’s right bank, striking and injuring three Swiss citizens before eventually falling into the water.
Emergency services were immediately alerted. The first personnel to reach the scene were the Kobarid firefighters. According to Izidor Koren, head of the Kobarid firefighters intervention, initial aid was provided on the road by both the family members and the firefighters.
The responders continued administering first aid until emergency medical assistance arrived from Tolmin.
