The Prosecution dismissed the criminal complaint against Prednik

The Ljubljana prosecutor’s office letter, delivered to lawyer Janija Prednika, reveals that the district prosecutor dismissed both a complaint filed by the former partner and a complaint from Celje criminals. The complaint centered on alleged threats. Prednika was interviewed at the Celje police department on January 20th regarding the accusations.

Subsequently, in late January, he faced criminal charges brought by the individuals involved. Prednika had previously accused his former partner of psychological and physical violence. In his initial response to the allegations, he stated he had never engaged in violent behavior, asserting he “reacted inappropriately during a challenging circumstance.” Media reports indicated that this situation led to his resignation from his role as a member of parliament.

The Slovenian parliament was notified of his resignation in October of the previous year, effectively ending his parliamentary mandate. The prosecutor’s decision effectively rejected the complaint against Prednika, stemming from the accusations. This dismissal followed Prednika’s initial complaint against his former partner.
