The Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (KPK) is reportedly investigating alleged donations involving Darz and Andrej Ribič, the former first man of the organization. According to reports from the website preiskovalno.si, the inquiry concerns potential financial contributions. Andrej Jelenc, the director of KZS, addressed the allegations, stating that the organization had not received any funds from Darz.
He further asserted, “The KZS has nothing from Darz, we have not received a cent from him either.” Jelenc indicated uncertainty regarding the extent of any funds from Darz that might have been directed to other accounts associated with the sport. The KPK’s accusations reportedly implicate the club Simon, the Soča Power Plant, and minor assistance provided to a Ljubljana-based club. Regarding a specific application submitted to Darz, Jelenc noted that it was rejected due to a conflict of interest.
These statements provide a direct rebuttal from the KZS leadership concerning the alleged financial links between Darz and the organization, while acknowledging the scope of the KPK’s investigation into related parties.
