23,000 attacks, and Iran is not yet on its knees: Tehran retains the key advantage

Over a period of less than 40 days, American and Israeli forces conducted intensive military operations, carrying out more than 23,000 attacks against approximately 17,000 military targets. According to Al Jazeera, the reported figures indicated significant disparities in the scope of the operations. The American army stated it hit over 13,000 targets within Iran, which was a higher number of reported attacks than the 10,800 attacks reported by the Israeli army, which targeted around 4,000 sites.

The diverse nature of the targets included ballistic and maneuverable missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, air defense systems, and military bases. Furthermore, infrastructure was struck across command centers, radar systems, communication nodes, and nuclear facilities. Specific complexes reported as affected include the military installations at Parchin and Khojir near Tehran, the naval base and port complex in southern Bandar Abbas, the Fath air base near Karaj, and missile facilities located in Isfahan, Yazd, and Shahroud.

Following the initial round of attacks in May, the Iranian government issued a statement asserting that it had conducted 10,000 retaliatory attacks aimed at US military bases within the country. These sustained attacks underscore a period of intense military confrontation involving multiple state actors and complex targeting of critical national infrastructure.
