Flowers and candles for the murdered, mother and a three-month-old girl are safe

A prosecutor has issued a detention order against a 45-year-old man following a fatal shooting incident. Investigators have indicated that evidence suggests the attack was premeditated and executed in a covert manner, leading authorities to classify the act as an assassination rather than a typical homicide. The violence erupted during a scheduled meeting concerning the guardianship of his three-month-old daughter, held at a mother and child center in Stad.

The facility housed the girl and her 34-year-old mother, who had relocated there under special supervision after the child was initially removed from the family. According to initial findings, the 45-year-old began firing weapons at individuals present at the meeting. The attack resulted in the deaths of four women and two men.

All the deceased were professionals associated with the center or the guardianship process; specifically, three employees from the regional youth office in Hanover were present for the guardianship decision meeting. The mother and the infant daughter were also located at the institution at the time of the incident. The incident highlights the complex legal and caregiving environment surrounding the young child.

The investigation continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the gathering, which was centered on the custody arrangements for the mother and the child.
